Nederland’s Gipsy Moon is in holiday mode and are throwing a big Holiday Extravaganza tonight at the Fox Theatre in Boulder. The band is inviting many friends and family to help celebrate the holidays. “The theme for the evening is “A Classy Holiday” – so we are asking the fans to dress up,” said the band’s manager, Ryan Smith.

Gipsy Moon is made up of Nederland residents Silas Herman (mandolin), David Matters (banjo/vocals/guitar), Mackenzie Page (guitar/vocals/tenor banjo), Andrew Conley (Cello) and Matt Cantor (Bass). Joining the band for tonight’s star studded extravaganza are many musicians from Colorado’s vibrant bluegrass scene including Silas Herman’s father Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon, Bridget Law and Dan Rodriguez of Elephant Revival, Joe Lessard of Head for the Hills and Nick Dunbar of Mountain Standard Time. The rumor is that even more special guest are on tap.

Watch for beer specials from Boulder Beer and the event is an official pre-party for WinterWonderGrass who will hold a raffle for a free pair of tickets. Arrive early for your chance to grab their new EP “Autumn’s Retreat.” Tickets are $12 door making this the best party value in town. Look to have lots of fun and I will see you at the show.
