Bob Weir has unfinished business with Rat Dog. Part of that unfinished business is to be taken care of tonight with a live performance, by the band, streamed in Hi-Def from Weir’s recently launched TRI-Studios in Tamalpais, California. TRI stands for Tamalpais Research Institute and the facility Weir championed is a state of the art sound and video studio that has already seen the likes of Slightly Stoopid, Fog, Bob Weir, Furthur, Chris Robinson, Scaring the Children, Lauren Shera, The Fall Risk, Planet of the Abts and more.
Here is a clip from the TRI Studios website: “Bob Weir and RatDog are pleased to announce their live debut at Bob Weir’s TRI Studios on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. The band will perform two sets and the performance will feature RatDog members: Bob Weir, Kenny Brooks, Jeff Chimenti, Mark Karan, Steve Kimock, Jay Lane, Robin Sylvester and Rob Wasserman. The FREE show will air live at www.tristudios.com at 5pm PST (8pm EST).”
I have caught several of the TRI Studios broadcast and have always been amazed at the clarity of the sound and picture. It is impressive to be able to deliver that quality for a live performance. So if you have speakers for your laptop, set them up… and if you are like us, couch tour enabled, we will be cranking up the stereo and streaming to the flat screen.
If you have not visited TRIStudios.com previously I recommend showing up a little early to get your stream in order then have fun.
