Two local acts step up the jams at the Fox
Nederland’s Smooth Money Gesture and Fort Collins’ Good Gravy were a special treat for the audience of Saturday’s Cornmeal show at the Fox Theatre. The first band to take the stage, Smooth Money Gesture, founded by the Diminico Brothers, Doug and Dan, had the crowd on their feet and shaking their bones. Smooth Money is a local treat and I recommend checking out their progressive jams. The band recently dropped their new CD, “The Grand Scubian: Evoloution” at the Stage Stop in Rollinsville, CO and have scheduled concert dates at Moab’s “Desert Rocks” and Nederland’s “Nedfest”. For a small taste, see the video below.
The second act, Good Gravy kept the crowd dancing and had a near capacity audience worked into frenzy by the end of their set. Both bands were a great fit to warm up for the Chicago area, jam-grass band Cornmeal. I will write more about Cornmeal’s performance and share an exciting announcement in the next blog post tomorrow. Check out some Good Gravy below, or download their free album and check back for some great news for fans of the Colorado jam scene.
