Planning on heading down to the annual smoke out on the CU campus? Heads up, if you don’t attend CU or have not previously signed up for an official sponsored event, a judge has ruled that a publicly funded campus has the right to refuse access to non-students today. The campus is going to extreme measures to keep citizens away on the annual day of protest against current marijuana laws. The university has even bared Wyclef Jean from mentioning pot during his concert today. Don’t fret though, there are many ways to enjoy your day and evening in and around the Front Range.
The Colorado Daily has summed up some cool events in this article by Ashley Dean:
The Matt Flaherty Band warmed up for Smooth Money Gesture and Kung Fu at the Fox Theatre on Thursday and I was able to grab a good chunk of their last song on video. Joining front man Matt Flaherty on guitar was Great American Taxi‘s Brian Adams on bass, Jet Edison‘s Phil Johnson on keys and in this video on trumpet and also from Jet Edison, Alex Johnson on Drums. For the last song the band is joined by Pete Goldberg of SMG on keys and Chase on sax and Joel Timm on trombone.
